You bring a
real-world challenge.
Together, we co-create the solution that makes an impact

Sustain.ALL Transformation Hub is an official study reform module at Technische Universität Berlin. We turn sustainability challenges from TU Berlin and partner organisations into semester-long projects, bringing together interdisciplinary student teams, Project Partners and experts through a structured process of research, co-creation, coaching and prototyping. If your department, lab or partner organisation is sitting on a challenge nobody has time for, hand it to us. We'll match it with a student group and mentor them through it, and get it to the finish-line.

About the hub

Education for sustainable development, with your challenge at the centre

Sustain.ALL is an educational and transformation initiative at the Technische Universität Berlin that links Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) with real-world processes of change. Instead of case studies, our students work directly on challenges brought to us by partners like you.

Execution-based Teaching

Interdisciplinary student teams investigate a challenge throughout the semester, moving from research and problem definition to a co-created concept, prototype or pilot. The expected outcome depends on the complexity and starting point of each challenge.

University-wide Collaboration

Administration, faculties, students and researchers all feed challenges, data and expertise into the hub to achieve a working solution, collectively.

Bridge between different worlds

We sit between society, industry and academia, encouraging the transdisciplinary collaboration that climate resilience deserves.

First Semester- DONE!

We ran this model for a full semester: seven clusters, nine projects, and teams that moved from concept to pilot. See for yourself below.

For Faculty & Partners

Working with us

You remain the domain expert and choose how closely you would like to collaborate. Sustain.ALL provides the educational framework, interdisciplinary team, weekly coaching and structured pace.

01

Challenge Scoping

Start with a short call with the team. Together, we explore the problem and shape it into a focused one-semester challenge.

02

Project Set-up & Team Formation

We agree on the scope and available inputs. An interdisciplinary student team then takes on the challenge through the Sustain.ALL module.

03

Mentoring & Coaching

You provide context and feedback at agreed moments. Sustain.ALL guides the student team through the weekly learning and development process.

04

Future Progression

The project may reach a concept, pre-prototype, prototype or pre-pilot. We then identify appropriate options for testing, implementation or continuation.

Clusters under Sustain.ALL

9 Challenges, 11 Innovation Clusters

Every challenge we take on is grouped under a cluster. You can see the challenges in progress under each cluster.

Proof, not promises

Nine challenges, brought to us by partners across the university or developed by students themselves during the Sustain.ALL Hackathon, during the Summer Semester 2026. Tap a card for the full story — challenge, solution, and where it stands today.

Bring us your challenge

Have a problem that requires a sustainable solution?

That's exactly what this hub is for. Fill in a few lines below — and we'll get back to you regarding incorporating your challenge into our module!.

  • No formal proposal needed — a rough problem description is enough to start.
  • You choose how involved you are: a few check-ins, or hands-on mentoring.

We reply to every submission within 2-3 days — likely sooner :)

Thanks — your challenge is in. We'll be in touch shortly.
Come say hello

Meet the hub — Q&A session

An informal get-to-know-us session: what working with Sustain.ALL actually looks like, plus an open Q&A for anything you're weighing up. Pick whichever date suits you.

We'll send the location and time once you RSVP.

Thanks — you're on the list. See you there!
